Niche just released their 2018 report of the best school districts in America. The Laguna Beach Unified School District rated high in the state of California, coming in at #25. The district received an overall grade of A, based on dozens of public data sources and millions of reviews. In addition, the district ranked #15 for the Best Places to Teach in California and #15 for the Districts with the Best Teachers in California. They also ranked as the #3 district in Orange County.

In addition to receiving an overall grade of A, Laguna Beach also scored well in several areas of education. The district received an A+ for its academics, an A+ for its teachers, and an A+ for its college prep. You can feel confident sending your kids to public school in Laguna Beach, knowing they are getting an excellent education.
Laguna Beach also ranks among best places to live
Not only does Niche collect and analyze data about schools across the country, they also compile data about cities in the U.S. In their latest report on best places to live, the town ranked #120 in Best Places to Live in California, out of more than 2,300 cities. Laguna Beach received an overall grade of A+. The town ranks high for its public schools, family friendliness, outdoor activities, weather, and health and fitness. It also ranks #55 on the list of best suburbs in which to live in California.
Get ready for the new school year
Now that summer is winding down, it’s time to gear up for the coming school year. The Laguna Beach Unified School District begins classes on Tuesday, September 5, the day after Labor Day.
